Sounds really great I think your CLX produced sprit during the 800 Km. Because it´s very unusual low with a automatic transmission

Wahrscheinlich nur Überlandverkehr und sehr zurückhaltende Fahrweise.
In Ostfriesland würde ich die Orange auch unter 5 Liter drücken.
Keine Autobahn, nicht wirklich Stadtverkehr und reihenweise Beschränkung auf 70 oder 80 Km/h.
100 ist da ja schon Lichtgeschwindigkeit

Dear Forum Members,

Please try to keep the engine between 1500 and 2000 rpm, very light on the acelerator.

Almost 100% use of the gearbox in the manual mode and you will see your fuel consumption drop around 2 L per 100 Km.

Note that you only generally need to increase the gears because they will reduce automatically.

Of course, when you use the gearbox is the consumption less. You are right.
I try it a few times and the BC show a lower consumption

But honestly : I bought the automatic not for saving fuel, i bought it to have a much more relaxing driving experience

Um mal auszuprobieren, mit wieviel Sprit der CLX tatsächlich auskommt, mag das ja in Ordnung sein. Ich kaufe mir doch keine Automatik, um dann per Hand zu schalten . Sprit zusparen ist ja löblich, am einfachsten den CLX in der Garage lassen

Gerd and Herbert,

I also bought the Automatic to be relaxed by driving.

But I have no problem to give a little impulse in the gear lever to increase the gears.

They will reduce automatically without my intervention, so it is only a very small effort.

Doing this I estimate around EURO 450 savings per year in fuel (+- 15000)

PS- ich muss in English schreiben weil mine Deutsch nicht sehr gut is. Ich habe zu viel vergessen
